MANILA, Philippines—Authorities identified Thursday the 10 fatalities in Wednesday’s road accident involving a truck and a passenger bus in Cebu.

Police Officer 2 Dionisio Trumata of Naga police said the tragedy occurred on the National Highway of Sitio Gaway Gaway in Barangay (village) Uling, Naga City, Cebu around 4:45 p.m. when a Prime Mover truck (GUF 405) rammed a VT Trans bus (GWH 253) carrying 56 passengers.

The truck, driven by Antonio Omacay, was going downhill towards Cebu City when it allegedly lost its brakes, causing it to ram the left side of the passenger bus driven by Jimmy Limoran that was travelling along the opposite lane on its way to Toledo City.
