FRAT MEMBER KILLED
A 26-YEAR-OLD fraternity member was fatally shot while he was sleeping on top of a table outside his house in barangay Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City.
Reylord Jason Durano sustained a gunshot wound in the head. The victim was a member of the Tau Gamma Phi fraternity, police said.
Police said no one came forward to describe what happened.
The victim’s mother, Emma, told police his son slept inside the house but transferred outside past midnight yesterday.
Emma said she ran out of the house after hearing three gunshots and found her bloodied son.
Police are still investigating the motive of the attack.
The mother told police that last December, her son figured in a fistfight with two men identified only as Paklay and Kikirk.
Emma said his son was out on bail for a homicide case. Reylord was accused of killing his uncle in 1994.
The victim was also jailed at the Lapu-Lapu City Jail for illegal possession of a firearm.

COLLECTOR FOUND DEAD
A 24-YEAR-OLD collector was found dead inside the staff house of a credit company in barangay Punta Princesa, Cebu City.
The body of Sunday Biadnes, worker of 3G Credit and Collection Services, was already stiff when found by co-workers on top of a wooden bed in his room around 6 a.m. yesterday.
Police said there were no signs of struggle inside the room. The man also didn’t have external injuries.
In barangay Poblacion, Cordova town, a 37-year old fisherman was found hanging dead inside his house early morning Tuesday.
Ricardo Quijano, was found by his wife Marilou hanging inside from the ceiling of their house with nylon rope tied around his neck.
The wife told police that her husband arrived home around 4 a.m. After a drinking session with with friends.

HOUSE RAZED IN CARCAR FIRE
A HOUSE was razed while two others were damaged by fire in barangay Poblacion I, Carcar City, southern Cebu.
The fire started at the house of Aser Empenado on San Jose Street.
Electrical short circuit may have caused the fire, FO1 Clifford Avila said.
Emepenado said he was charging an electric mosquito swatter when it sparked and caught fire past 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Empenado’s house was already razed when the fire was contained at 6:11 p.m.
The fire damaged a portion of two other houses.
Empanado and his neighbor Edwin Garsis sustained first degree burns while trying to help put out the fire.
