Fil-Ams in US celebrate feast of Sto. Niño

THE Filipino-American community in Oregon and Washington states held their annual celebration of the Sto. Niño fiesta in Rainier, Oregon last Saturday.

The celebration started with a novena, followed by a procession and a Mass officiated by Fr. Henry Rufo, a Cebuano and currently the parish priest of the Nativity of BVM Catholic Church of Rainier Oregon.

After the Mass, a dinner was held at the parish social hall highlighting various Filipino dishes, including lechon.

A program proper followed where the Filipino-Americans wearing colorful costumes danced to the traditional Sinulog steps.
