PMA ’84 man is new QCPD director

Senior Supt. Richard Albano took over as director of the Quezon City Police District on Saturday, succeeding Chief Supt. Mario de la Vega who is set to retire next month.

Prior to his new post, Albano was deputy director of the Philippine National Police’s Retirement Benefits Administration Service.

He is a member of the Philippine Military Academy’s Maharlika Class of 1984.

Albano was first assigned to the QCPD in 2003, serving under its Special Projects Unit.

He also previously headed the intelligence and investigation division of the Northern Police District.  Julie Aurelio
