Sugbuanang Tag-una–Cebuana Trailblazers is a project of the Cebu Provincial Women’s Commission through the Legal Alternatives for Women Center Inc. or LAW Center Inc. started in 2005 to celebrate the Feminist Centennial. Sixty Cebuanas were sought and honored through a set of heritage cards featuring their  accomplishments.  Five years after, LAW Center Inc. formed a search committee to come up with  40 more  trailblazers to complete the compendium of 100 Cebuana Traiblazers to be recognized in March 8, 2011, which was the Centennial of the International Women’s Day. Since the search was not over  last March, it was decided to hold the recognition in August in time for the celebration of the founding anniversary of the province of Cebu. In addition to the heritage cards, it was decided to exhibit the complete compendium of trailblazers at the opening ceremonies of the provincial government..
