Former election chief appointed to Clark body
MANILA, Philippines – President Benigno Aquino III has appointed former Commission on Elections Chairman Jose Melo to the board of the Clark Development Corp., a spokesman for the president said.
Apart from Melo, Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said Aquino also named to the CDC board were Francis Raphael Carpio Elum, Jose Danilo Honrado, Ricardo Baron, Manuel Feliciano, Rommel Bondoc, Cesar Villanueva and Felipe Antonio Remollo.
Villanueva was appointed chairman of the board, and Remollo, president and chief executive officer.
Aquino also appointed new administrators of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority.
He named Rafael Reyes as the new administrator and chief executive officer replacing Armand Arreza, and Roberto Garcia as chairman of the board, vice Feliciano Salonga.
The other new appointees to the SBMA were Alfonso Siapno and Wilfredo Pineda.
