Did you know: Philippine comics

The formal history of Philippine comics began on Jan. 11, 1929, when Antonio Velasquez and Romualdo Ramos came out with “Mga Kababalaghan ni Kenkoy,” the first Filipino comic series. It was also the first humorous comic strip using human caricatures in the country.—Schatzi Quodala, Inquirer Research
