MANILA, Philippines — The state weather bureau is monitoring Thursday two potential cyclones that continue to bring moderate to heavy rains in Visayas and Mindanao.
The low pressure area hovering the Philippine territory for days now was last seen 490 kilometers southeast of General Santos City the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
Meanwhile, another low pressure area moving closer to the Philippine area of responsibility was seen 1,090 kilometers east of Mindanao.
Should the LPAs intensify, the next two names of tropical cyclones would be Bising and Crising.
Bohol, Leyte provinces and Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with moderate to heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides, Pagasa said.
The rest of Visayas will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Ilocos Norte and Cagayan Valley will be cloudy with light rains as a tail-end of a cold front is affecting Northern Luzon.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy skies with brief rainshowers or thunderstorms, Pagasa said.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast to north will prevail throughout the archipelago and the coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
