BALIKBAYANS due to arrive from all over the world for the Sinulog can look forward to a a warm welcome with Balik Cebu 2013.
Aside from an airport welcome by a rondalla band, they will be treated to a fiesta dinner and cultural show at the Ayala Terraces on Jan. 17, Thursday.
Now on its tenth year, the Balik Cebu welcome dinner hosted by Ayala Center Cebu will be serving native dishes that bring out the nostalgic flavors of Cebu.
There will be a live band, teaser performances of Sinulog dance troupes, dancing and the guest appearance of winners of the Miss Cebu pageant. Then at 8:30 p.m. the Handumanan cultural show will showcase the best of Cebuano musical talents.
Dinner coupons for the welcome dinner will be available at the Balik Cebu booth which opens tomorrow, Jan. 11, in the Ayala mall at the rotunda area fronting Rustan’s.
Brochures, information and tickets of Sinulog events will be available. A press conference will be held at 10:30 a.m.

The Balik Cebu committee headed by Tetta Baad has always been a part of the Sinulog activities. The program was initiatied by the the Cebu City Government through the Cebu City Tourism Commission in partnership with the Department of Tourism, Mactan Cebu International Airport Authority, Sinulog Foundation Inc. and volunteers from the private sector, including Cebu Daily News.
