Over 20 people treated for minor injuries at Manila Shrine—rescue team
MANILA, Philippines — More than 20 people have been treated so far for minor injuries while waiting for the Black Nazarene at the Liwasang Bonifacio Shrine in Manila, authorities said on Wednesday.
As of 10:00 a.m., the SEAL technical rescue team deployed in the area listed around 24 people who were treated for either “laceration” or “punctures” on the feet, according to team member Julius Bandalan.
Bandalan said so far the youngest injured was a 9-year-old girl while the oldest was a 58-year-old woman.
