Hotel, Delta share lead

TEAM Hotel nipped Echo, 92-88, while Delta edged Charlie, 85-83, Saturday night to share the lead with 5-1 and 4-1 cards, respectively in the Center Katipunan A. Lopez Christian Organization (CEKALCO)-2013 Second Season basketball tournament at the A. Lopez open court in barangay Labangon.

Hotel jumped to a blistering, 32-8 start but Echo sizzled in the 2nd period with a, 33-12 bomb to close the gap at, 41-43, at the bend.

Both camps engaged in a neck-and-neck battle in the fourth with Kelvin Cinco exploding for 16 points giving Hotel the narrow victory.

Cinco led Hotel with a game-high 30 points while Mario Dosal and Dennis Saceda combined for 44 markers. Donald Catong and Vincent Dianon paced Echo (2-4) with 22 and 18 points, respectively.

Earlier, Delta and Charlie fought a close game from start to finish until Juniel Villarosa and Author Acosta gave Team Delta a big spark in the fourth period with crucial points.

Juniel Villarosa scored Delta with 22 points while Estoy Panerio and Richard Gubaton paced Charlie (3-2) with 30 and 26 points, respectively.
