Man killed on his way home

A 43-YEAR-OLD man was shot dead by motorcycle-riding assailants in barangay Poblacion, Danao City, northern Cebu.

Mamerto Laurel succumbed to gunshot wounds in different parts of the body. He died while being rushed to the hospital.

Police said Laurel was driving his motorcycle on his way home past 10 p.m. last Saturday when two men on board a motorcycle drove beside him.

The backrider drew a gun and shot the victim several times.

Recovered from the crime scene were four empty shells of a .45 caliber pistol.
