Pagara heads Sinulog boxing at IT Park

UNDEFEATED prospect ‘Prince’ Albert Pagara (14W-0L, 10 KOs) of the ALA Gym will face Jilo Merlin in a ten-round non-title bout at the IT Park on January 20.

This fight card is part of ALA Promotions continuing tradition of providing ‘free to the public’ fight cards during the Sinulog celebration.

Pagara’s last fight was in Maasin City last November where he stopped the previously undefeated Thai Tawanrung Eausampan in two rounds. Merlin (12W-14L-2D, 2 KOs) is a battled scarred veteran who has lost overseas fights in Thailand and Japan.

Meanwhile, fighting in the undercard are Philippine jr.flyweight champion Jerson Mancio will face Gerpaul ‘Captain Hook’ Valero of the Flores Boxing Gym of Mandaue City in a ten-round non-title match and Jimmy Paypa who will fight veteran Marvin Tampus in another ten rounder. Tampus lost to Pagara by unanimous decision last September in Balamban, Cebu.

Also set to see action are Reymund Tabogon vs. Abel Gayhun (8 rounds), Bryan Lobitania vs. Jamjam Ungon (4 rounds), Rolando Servania vs. Joyjoy Formenter (4 rounds), Ivor Lastrilla vs. Takaoki Naoma of Japan (4 rounds) and Richard Barrios vs. Jayvee Galia (4 rounds).
