A MAN fell to his death from the terrace of his house in barangay Catmon Daan, Catmon, northern Cebu.
Exequiele Cole Arenillas Sr. was found with a wound in the forehead.
Police said Arenillas had a drinking session with friends and relatives at home on the evening of New Year’s eve.
The man left his guests to relieve himself but did not return. His relatives thought he just went to visit relatives living nearby.
Around 10 a.m. the next day, a two-year-old girl found Arenillas slumped on the ground.
The girl called her father, who alerted the police after seeing the unconscious neighbor.
The man may have lost his balance and fallen from the terrace about five to six meters above the ground, hitting his head on a protruding bar, said PO1 Ralph Brasero of the Catmon police.
An autopsy conducted by Edna Luardo Orlanes, municipal health officer, showed the head injury was the cause of his death./CORRESPONDENT JOY CHERRY S. QUITO
