MANILA, Philippines—If you’re running for public office and you’re born under the Ox sign, you will most probably win in the 2013 elections, according to a feng shui specialist, giving her own reading of fortunes in the coming year.
Didit Plugio, a holistic life coach who has appeared in television and radio shows, said a notable Ox candidate, former President Joseph Estrada, a candidate for Manila mayor against the incumbent Alfredo Lim, would be lucky this year.
While Ox and Rooster would be quite fortunate in the year of the Black Water Snake in the Chinese zodiac, Plugio said those with Dragon, Rat and Horse signs would also have good chances in business, politics and show biz.
Unfortunately, 2013 is not the year for Snake, Pig, Tiger and Monkey signs. Incidentally, Lim is born in 1929, a year of the Snake.
Plugio said President Aquino (Rat) and Vice President Jejomar Binay (Horse) would have a good year but their incompatible signs could keep them at odds with each other.
She said Aquino should find a life partner with Monkey, Dragon and Ox signs for compatibility.
Businesses in the Earth element, like real estate and universities, would have good fortune this year, Plugio said. In addition, the feng shui lucky number 4 indicates a boom in the field of education.
Other lucky elements are: Water (spa, laundry shop), Metal (gadgets, hardware), and Fire (restaurant, events organizing). The Wood element (flower shops, landscapers) will not be so lucky.
The Wood element, however, will counter the destructive relationship of Fire and Water, the ruling elements this year, which makes green the lucky color this year, according to Plugio.
To bring luck, Plugio advised feng shui followers to paint the house green, or bring in green materials like plants, and wear jade charms.
For unlucky signs, Plugio advised them to keep a positive attitude.
“Keep in your heart and mind that you are a lucky person. Happy thoughts, good feelings, so that the energy of luck and blessings will flow into our lives,” she said.
