Family driver robs boss at gunpoint

A MATORN in Maria Luisa Subdivision was robbed at gunpoint allegedly by her family driver inside her house in Cebu City.

Angeles Mathieu, 78, identified the suspect as Jonathan Forosuelo, Jr., 25, a native of Clarin, Misamis Occidental.

The driver lived in barangay Lahug, Cebu City while working for Mathieu, police said.

The robbery, involving P5 million worth of assorted jewelry, was reported by the woman’s son to the Mabolo police a few hours after the robbery.

Mathieu was in her room in the family’s two-story house in the exclusive subdivision when an armed Forosuela barged in around 6 a.m. Saturday.

Police said the driver covered the woman’s mouth to prevent her from shouting before taking the jewelry.

SPO1 Jeffrey Larrobis said the driver fled in the victim’s car which was later found abandoned in A.S. Fortuna Street.

The victim’s wallet containing ATM card was recovred in the car.
