WIDOWER FOUND DEAD
A 22-YEAR-OLD man was found hanging dead from a cabinet in his house in barangay Proper Pakigne, Minglanilla town, southern Cebu.
Relationsip problems may have been troubling Dexter Lim, who used a belt to hang himself.
Police said Lim and his girlfriend had a fight and the woman had not been responding to the man’s text messages.
A note believed to have been written by the man was recovered near Lim’s body.
In the note addressed to girlfriend, he sought forgiveness.
The man was already dead when he was found by his father around 6 a.m. Saturday.

BALUT VENDOR DIES IN SRP MISHAP
A BALUT vendor was killed after a six-wheeler truck ran over him at the South Road Properties in Cebu City.
The victim believed to be 19 to 20 years old was not immediately identified.
Police said the victim was driving a bicycle when he was hit by a Fuso Fighter truck from the opposite lane.
The truck was headed for Pasil market to deliver fish when the accident occurred at dawn yesterday.

MAN STABBED IN DRINKING BOUT
A 20-YEAR-OLD man was stabbed and wounded by his drinking buddy in barangay Pakna-an, Mandaue City.
Raymond Postero of sitio Latasan, barangay Labogon, Mandaue was wounded in the back.
The suspect Reymart Pesalbon, 20, fled after the attack.
Police said the two men were already drunk when they argued past 1 p.m. Friday.
Pesalbon went home after the argument but returned moments later and attacked Postero.

4 MEN CAUGHT PLAYING ‘HANTAK’
FOUR persons were arrested for playing “hantak”, a a coin-toss game, in barangay Canduman, Mandaue City.
Rhyne Solon, 24; Kevin Albaracin, 19; Joseph Albaracin, 35; and Angelo Cabatingan, 27; were caught by patrolling barangay tanods in Zone 3 past 10 p.m. Saturday.
