OPM bands, parties, fireworks to light up New Year countdown in Luneta

MANILA, Philippines—A free concert featuring OPM bands, a street party and fireworks display are lined up for the New Year countdown in Luneta Park in Manila.

The Bloomfields, Barbie Almalbis, Mocha Girls, Johnoy Danao and Rocksteddy are some of the artists that will be featured on New Year’s Eve through Paskong Pinoy 2012: A Joyous Rock in the Park.

Paskong Pinoy in Luneta Park is a Christmas and New Year extravaganza sponsored by the Asia Brewery Inc. in celebration of its 30th anniversary, together with the City of Manila, the Department of Tourism and the National Parks Development Committee.

Events bazaars, lion and dragon dance exhibitions, dance and Christmas carol competitions and concerts will be held in the celebration that will last until Jan. 6.
