Water pipes upgraded in Paranaque, Valenzuela

Maynilad Water Services Inc. (Maynilad) said in an advisory posted on its website that it will upgrade its pipe network in Parañaque and Valenzuela cities next week, affecting some service areas in the two cities, as well as in Makati City and Obando, Bulacan province.

The service improvement project in Parañaque will take place from Monday, from 9 p.m. until 9 a.m. of the following day.

Work in Valenzuela City will take place from 9 p.m. of Aug. 3 until 12 noon of Aug. 4.

Maynilad said it will upgrade its pipe network in Parañaque and Valenzuela by decommissioning an old 900 mm steel pipe along South Luzon Expressway in Parañaque City, and by installing new valves and a strainer and declogging a 750 mm pipe along Rincon, near Pelo 1 Subdivision in Valenzuela City.

These activities are expected to benefit Maynilad customers by improving the water pressure in parts of Makati, Parañaque, and Valenzuela, aside from efficiently managing the water supply in the West zone.

The service improvement project in Parañaque will interrupt water services in Magallanes Village and Paseo de Magallanes in Makati City; as well as in West Service Road (from Maynilad’s Villamor pumping station to Marcelo Green Village), Barangay Merville, Moonwalk, 185 (Maricaban & Villamor Area), and 201 (Kalayaan), Edison Avenue, Sta. Ana Drive, San Martin de Porres, Greenheights, Camella Homes (Greenheights), Craus Subdivision, Savio Homes, Remanville, Malacañang Village, Japan, Jamaica, Brgys. Sun Valley, Don Bosco, San Antonio (SAV 1, 3, 5, 8-11), and a portion of Brgy. Marcelo and Annex 37 in Parañaque City.

The service improvement project in Valenzuela City will affect water services in Malinta, Pasolo, Rincon, Mabolo, Poblacion, Palasan, Isla, Tagalag, Arkong Bato, Pariancillo Villa, Balangkas, Wawang Pulo, Polo, Dalandanan and Bisig in Valenzuela City; as well as the Obando Water District in Bulacan.
