Why do people who give to others without expecting anything in return get richer; while those who scrimp because they fear a lack become poor?
The answer to that question is in the Bible. For those who have, more will be given and they will have an abundance, and for those who have nothing, even what they have will be taken away (Matthew, 13:12).
People who share their wealth become wealthier because of wealth consciousness.
And those who are greedy because they fear they might be deprived of their possessions by giving, ultimately lose whatever they have.
Why? Because what they fear becomes a reality.
The Law of Attraction says that what you give your attention to, such as acquiring wealth, manifests.
On the other hand, what you fear most also becomes a reality.
A man who always fears getting robbed eventually becomes a robbery victim.
Esther and Jerry Hicks, authors of The New York Times best-selling authors of Ask and It is Given and The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent, said in the book, Law of Attraction:
“You see the Law of Attraction evidenced in (our) society when you see that the one who speaks most about illness has illness; when you see that the one who speaks most about prosperity has prosperity.”
The best way to develop wealth consciousness is to give to the poor and the underprivileged.
Deepak Chopra, best-selling author of many books on self development, says in the book, Seven Spiritual Laws of Success:
“As long as you’re giving, you will be receiving. The more you give, the more confidence you will gain in the miraculous effects of this law (The Law of Giving). And as you receive more, your ability to give more will increase.”
Robert Collier, in his book Riches Within Your Reach, “What then must you do to win riches and success? GIVE! Give freely of what you have.”
Collier cites Luke 6:38: “Give and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give unto your bosom.
“For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
And finally, from Rhonda Byrne’s The Secret, which has been on the New York Times’ best sellers list for a long time:
“Giving is a powerful action to bring more money into your life, because when you are giving you are saying, ‘I have plenty.’ It will not be surprising to you to learn that the wealthiest people on the planet are the greatest philanthropists.
“They give away vast amounts of money, and as they give, by the law of attraction, the Universe opens up and floods vast amounts of money back to them—multiplied!”
