Motorists, pedestrians told: Safety first

DRIVERS and pedestrians are advised to always think of their safety when they’re at the road.

Regional Director Raul Aguilos, Land Transportation Office Central Visayas (LTO-7) chief, gave the advice yesterday after a woman was injured when a motorcycle bumped her in the South Road Properties at past noon yesterday.

The SRP accident happened more than a day after a 16-year-old girl was killed when she was hit by a Toyota Hilux in Naga City.

Juanita Abarquez, a resident of Manipis, Campo 6, Talisay City, was crossing the street when she was bumped by the motorcycle driven by Roman Macachor.

Abarquez and Macachor were brought to the hospital for treatment after they suffered minor injuries in the accident.
