Salesmen robbed P70,000

Two men reported to the police that they were robbed at gunpoint in barangay Lut-od, Pinamungahan, southwest Cebu.

Rouel Cantila Sumampong, 38, and Jhunepher Samopao Toguero, 31, told police that armed robbers took away P70,000 cash from them last Thursday afternoon.

The victims are salesmen of Humabon Distributor, Inc., distributor of Nestle products.

Three men wearing bonnets, on board a motorcycle waylaid them and took their cash collection at gunpoint. The robbers they said were armed with a caliber .45 pistol.

According to PO2 Melody Pagdalian  of Pinamungahan police, they are still finding leads on the crime./Correspondent Joy Cherry S. Quito

MAN Lost, robbed by ‘guides’

A 32 year-old man was robbed by two unidentified men  in Camella Homes, in barangay Lawaan III, Talisay City yesterday dawn.

Police identified the victim as Lloyd Pacubas of Ramona Village, bBarangay Cansojong, Talisay City.

He lost his cellphone worth P23,000; assorted jewelry worth P1,400 and P950 cash.

The victim claimed he got lost on the way to Camella Homes prompting him to ask the two men for directions.

Paculbas told police investigators that the suspects initially volunteered to guide him but when they reached  a secluded portion of the road, one of the suspects declared a hold up and pointed a handgun on him.

Out of fear, Paculbas said he handed his valuable to them. The suspects casually walk after carting away  his valuables./Correspondent Gabriel C. Bonjoc
