Navy gets container vans for rescue efforts

GOTHONG Southern Shipping Lines Inc. (GSSLI) continues to find ways to give back to the community.

The shipping company recently donated two twenty-footer container vans to the Naval Forces Central (Navforcen) in support of the navy’s anniversary celebration.

These twenty footer vans will be used by the navy to store their life saving equipment for rescue operations during flooding in Cebu province.

The turnover ceremony was attended by Navy officials led by Navforcen Deputy Commander, Capt. Ingemar Pernes.

FEATURED STORIES

The Navforcen recognized GSSLI for their generosity and presented to the shipping company a plaque of appreciation during the anniversary program.

The plaque was received by GSSLI chief operating officer William Acosta and Marine department head Ernesto Alix.
