MANILA, Philippine – Twenty-four battle casualties from the military were promoted to the next permanent higher rank by Armed Forces Chief General Jessie Dellosa at the AFP Medical Center (AFPMC), the military’s public information office said Tuesday.
Dellosa was on his gift-giving and hospital visit with AFPMC Commander Brigadier General Normando Sta. Ana and Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel Commodore Philip Cacayan, when he promoted the Army and Navy soldiers which include one Technical Sergeant, four Staff Sergeants, two Sergeants, 15 Corporals and two Privates First Class.
He also awarded Military Merit Medals to 10 Army and Navy soldiers who were wounded during combat.
Also on his visit at the AFPMC, Dellosa presided over the symbolic gift-giving to the patients and personnel at various AFPMC departments, while the AFP Ladies’ Club also handed over gifts and loot bags to patients currently confined at the hospital.
The military chief also awarded plaques of appreciation to the benefactors of the AFPMC who have significantly contributed to the fast implementation of the renovation and healthcare enhancement programs of the military hospital.
He also awarded Command Plaque to the Brig. Gen. Sta. Ana, the Chief of the AFP Resource Management Office Rear Admiral Wenefredo B. Banua, and Lt. Col. Dennis Eclarin for their “outstanding contributions and hard work towards the makeover and refurbishing of medical facilities and enhanced and speedy procurement of the medicines for the patients of AFPMC.”
