Palm Heights completes 19-U playoffs cast
GAMES TODAY:
6:30 P.M. – Panagdait vs. Summerville
8 P.M. – San Antonio vs. San Vicente
PALM HEIGHTS survived elimination in the Lord of the Rings – Battle of the Villages at the J Centre Mall after defeating Benedicto College, 53-46, and earned the right to challenge the top-seed in the 19-under teens category during the playoff this weekend.
The Batzz Boys of Codoy Village in Casuntingan, Mandaue City and their neighbors from St. Paul College Foundation, Inc. in Bakilid also won separate games last Sunday to secure trips to the playoffs along with Greenhills Subdivision.
But the three 19-under teams will have yet to settle the score on who among them will grab the No. 1 and No. 2 spots to earn a twice-to-beat advantage in the playoffs.

Mark Elizondo took over scoring the needed six-point difference during the third quarter production, and pouring in the rest of his 15 points in the final stretch that made meaningless the 16 points Diego Bustanillo and Jodan Miguel Elardo scored each for Garden Bloom.
RJ Dinolan scored 15 points to lift the Panagdait Slashers from Kasambagan, Cebu City over La Aldea del Rio, 77-62.
Meanwhile, Erville Cabungcal and Sherwin Co led the last quarter full-court press for Agro-Macro scoring five points each, as their teammates limited Briza Subdivision to four points to overtake the elder team, 59-47, and finishing the eliminations with a 5-1 card.
Palm Heights’ 58-65 loss to Casuntingan-Codoy Sunday that completed their elimination games with a 2-3 (win-loss) card did not matter after Sudlon’s Cardinals from St. Louis Cebu College (SLCC) suffered back-to-back losses over the weekend. Sudlon-SLCC first bowed to Casuntingan-Codoy, 40-44, on Saturday, then got drowned by Sunday in the hands of St. Paul College, 40-65.
Even if Sudlon-SLCC, which now holds a 1-3 record, wins against the current topseed Greenhills on Dec. 21, it will mean nothing as it lost to Palm Heights last Dec. 8. /pr
