Culinary school renews ties with cookware brands

The center for Asian Culinary Studies (CACS), a leading cooking school, has renewed its exclusive partnership with Maxim and Cookworks, two top cookware brands.

The brands are the official cookware of the culinary and research institution.

Haresh H. Mirchandani, president and chief executive officer of Ramesh Trading Corp., distributors of Maxim and Cookworks in the Philippines, described as truly “solid” their partnership with CACS, “considered by many aspiring cooks as their passport to an exciting new culinary career.”

Chef Gene Gonzalez, CACS president and founder and owner of Café Ysabel and 10 Outstanding Young Men  awardee in culinary arts, said to provide quality education, CACS had to use quality equipment.

He said Maxim and Cookworks pots and pans received three years ago were still being used by CACS students.

Maxim and Cookworks products used in the school include commercial-quality nonstick frypans, saucepans, stir-fry pans with Teflon Platinum coating, heavy-gauge 18/10 stainless steel frypans, sauté pans, everyday pans, saucepans, casserole pots, stock pots, Dutch ovens, double boilers, chicken fryers, pasta cookers and woks.

Mirchandani expressed his thanks to Gonzalez, whom he called a truly world-class chef, for his seal of approval. He said the company was looking forward to working with CACS students as they honed their culinary techniques to create mouth-watering dishes.
