CRISTY Sevellino-Tutor and Kenyan Abraham Missous shared the spotlight in yesterday’s Red Cross Humanity Run.
Tutor, the reigning Bohol Marathon queen, reached the finish line at the Sumilon Road of the Cebu Business Park with a time of 1:13:30 to rule the 16-kilometer women’s race. Missous, meanwhile, ruled the men’s race with a time of 55:41.
Mary Jane Beboso (1:16:16) and Karla Cosep (1:18.14) trailed Tutor to take the second and third spots, respectively.
Fellow Kenyan Douglas Mwiti clocked 56:15 to finish second to Missous while Cebuano Adonis Singson claimed the third spot with a time of 56:29.
The Andrin sisters showed anew their dominance in short-distance races.
Lovely Fe topped the 8k women’s race while eldest sister Jhean placed second spot. Their youngest, Cherry, lorded the 4k women’s side trailed by Michelle Beboso (19:26) and Irish Delechos (20:37).
Lovely Fe crossed the finish in 34:36 as Jhean finished with a time of 34:37. Lynlie Cardenas came in at third with a time of 36:28. Cherry dominated the 4k race with a time of 17:14.
In the men’s side of the 8k race, Kenyan newcomer Elliud Leilei topped the race with a time of 26:11 while compatriot Francis Kakui placed second, clocking 26:27. Davao City’s Jobert Carolino finished in 26:45 for third place.
Juvenile Oyao topped the 4k men’s race (17:59) followed by Kevin Torremocha (18:12) and John Joshua Ernane (18:23). /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
