Cops told: Avoid lavish Christmas parties

10:48 AM December 16, 2012

POLICE were urged to avoid holding lavish Christmas parties and instead set aside some money for the victims of typhoon Pablo.

The directive came from Camp Crame, said Chief Supt. Marcelo Garbo, chief of the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7).

Garbo said the PRO-7 will hold a simple Christmas party and will donate at least P500,000 typhoon victims.
