Ardina wins in Singapore

DOTTIE ARDINA showed nerves of steel as she made up for a bogey on the 18th hole with a gorgeous approach shot on the first playoff hole to down Thai rival Pannarat Thanapunboonyarat and capture the 21st SICC-DBS Junior Invitational Golf Championship crown in Singapore Thursday.

Ardina missed out on winning the title outright as she misfired on a par-putt attempt on the 18th and had to settle for a final round score of 75. Thanapunboonyarat scored a two-over 74 to force the sudden-death playoff.
