OWWA to hold mass wedding for OFWs

THE Overseas Workers Welfare Administration in Central Visayas (OWWA-7) will hold its first mass wedding for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families on Monday, Dec. 17 at 1 p.m. at the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral.

This is in line with the government agency’s annual OFW Family Day celebration.

At least 30 couples will exchange their marriage vows during the occasion.

OWWA Administrator Carmelita Dimzon and Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama will serve as the over-all principal sponsors.

The mass wedding, in collaboration with the Episcopal Commission for Migrants and Itinerant People (ECMI) – Visayas and the Apostleship of the Sea–Cebu, will be officiated by Most Reverend Emilio Bataclan, D.D., Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Cebu.
