Aside from being a law professor, Te is also a part of the Free Legal Assistance Group, the oldest and largest group of human rights lawyers.

Sources said Te was already introduced to staff of the high court’s information office while his appointment will be made public on Dec. 21, in time for the high court’s party for the media.

Te is also a close friend and colleague of newly appointed high court justice Marvic Leonen.
