Jehovah’s conventions winding up

After eight consecutive three-day sessions, the Metro Manila District Conventions of Jehovah’s Witnesses will wind up with their last three weekend conventions this month at their Assembly Hall in Novaliches, Quezon City.

The conventions, which have so far attracted over 40,000 participants from Metro Manila and neighboring provinces, will close with three remaining sessions starting this weekend through the last one on Dec. 28-30.

In a statement, organizers said the remaining conventions will center on the same topic now very familiar to members of the faith: ‘‘How protecting our figurative heart will enhance the quality of our lives now and the future.”

Fridays will be devoted to comparisons of physical heart ailments and spiritual afflictions troubling our figurative heart. Participants will be encouraged to help others learn the Bible from a talk on ‘‘Do You Have a Heart for Working?”

Saturday sessions will delve on how your heart influences your worships and behavior and there will be discussions of the importance of baptism, followed by the ordination of the new members of the faith as ministers. This will be concluded by discussion on “Inculcating God’s Word in Little Hearts.”

Admission is free to the public and no collection will be taken.
