MANILA, Philippines—Former first gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo owned at least five helicopters, two of them were sold to the Philippine National Police, Senator Panfilo Lacson said on Thursday.

“Si First Gentleman, kanya naman talaga yun e. Lima nga yan e kaya we’re still gathering more documents [Those helicopters are owned by First Gentleman. Actually there are five so we are gathering more documents],” Lacson told reporters when asked to identify the real owners of the two used vehicles that were sold to the PNP in 2009.

Lacson said the two were sold to the PNP while two other helicopters are still with a distributor–the Lion Air.

Lacson said the five helicopters owned by Mr. Arroyo bore serial numbers 1370, 1371, 1372, 1373 and 1374.
