Trader shot dead in QC
MANILA, Philippines — A businessman was killed when riding-in-tandem suspects shot him early Tuesday in Quezon City, police said.
The victim was identified as Michael Damo, 24, who was allegedly gunned down by still unidentified suspects in his store along Dama de Noche Street, IBP Road in Payatas A, Quezon City around 6:45 a.m., Senior Police Officer 1 Alden Lasam of QCPD station 6 said.
He said initial investigation revealed that Damo was entertaining a customer when the suspects appeared on board a single motorcycle and shot him five times in different parts of his body.
“The victim sustained gunshot wounds to his head and to other parts of his body,” Lasam said, adding that the suspects fled after the incident.
Lasam said investigators have yet to determine the motive behind the attack.
