Mom seeks readers’ aid for tot
Margaux Chloe Llarenas’ mother admitted it was not easy raising P4.5 million for the liver transplant of their 1-year-old baby who was born with biliary atresia, a rare disease of the liver.
It means that Llarenas’ liver does not have bile ducts, so that the bile builds up within and destroys her liver.
“I didn’t think this could happen to my baby,” said Maricon Torres of Calbayog City.
“In the beginning, it was hard to accept, but if this is happening for a reason, who are we to question what has happened to her?
“We can only ask assistance from charitable and compassionate souls out there,” she said.
