MAN DIES IN ROAD ACCIDENT

A MAN died after he was hit by a van while crossing the road in barangay Banilad, Cebu City.

Alfredo Visoc sustained multiple injuries in the body and died while being brought to the hospital, police said.

The accident happened around 4 a.m. yesterday in front of a shopping mall.

MAN NABBED FOR USING DRUGS

A 25-YEAR-OLD man was arrested after his live-in partner reported to the police that he has been using illegal drugs.

Brian Paray was arrested in his home in sitio Nasipit, barangay Talamban, Cebu City on Saturday night

Police said a pack of suspected shabu was recovered from the man’s wallet.

Police said the woman complained that the man had been mauling her. This prompted the woman to report her partner’s illegal activity.

WOMAN STABBED IN LAPU

A 28-YEAR-OLD woman was stabbed by another woman after she pacified a trouble involving her friend in Barangay Marigondon, Lapu-Lapu city.

Amina Liwalog sustained stab wounds in the right arm and left thigh.

The alleged suspect, a certain Weng-weng, fled after after the attack.

Weng-weng worked as a stay-in cook of Honey KTV Bar, police said.

Police said Liwalog saw her friend, En-en Gallano, arguing with Weng-weng around 11 p.m. Saturday.

Liwalog pacified the two women but Weng-weng turned her anger at her and stabbed her twice.
