Pasay execs eye new city hall
THE PASAY City government is considering moving out of its “home.”
The top city official said Saturday there was a proposal to transfer offices from the city hall building on F. B. Harrison Street to a government-owned reclamation area near a mall.
In a statement, Pasay Mayor Antonino Calixto said this was prompted by complaints about the lack of office and parking spaces in the old city hall.
“Our present city hall is already old and dilapidated and the funding for its renovation and repair may equal the cost of a new structure,” he said.
The city council will hold a public hearing on the proposed transfer at 3 p.m. on Monday with residents invited to attend.
