Police to conduct relief efforts for ‘Pablo’ victims

Police will be conducting relief operations for the victims of typhoon Pablo.

Chief Supt. Marcelo Garbo, chief of the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7), said city and provincial police offices in the region were asked to cooperate in the relief campaign.

Garbo said they will coordinate with the local governments and non-government organization for the distribution of relief goods.

Before the announcement of the relief operations, the PRO-7 yesterday morning distributed used clothes to fire victims in barangay Tisa, Cebu City.

At least 20 sacks of used clothes were distributed.

The relief drive was spearheaded by Senior Insp. Stanley Sabang of the Police Community Relations (PCR).

More than 500 families were displaced when a fire struck sitio Pagtinabangay just before typhoon Pablo struck.
