POLICE arrested a 19-year-old man for possession of unlicensed firearms in barangay Lorega-San Miguel, Cebu City.
Police seized a KG-9 pistol and a .38 revolver from Barkley Mabaga.
The man was arrested by operatives of the Investigation and Detective Management Branch of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO).
Police said Mabaga caused fear among residents after he was seen brandishing guns.
A report from a concerned citizen sent police rushing to Lorega and arrested the man.
Chief Insp. Alexis Relado, chief of IDMB, said a background check on Mabaga will be conducted to find out if he was involved in illegal activities in the city.
Mabaga, who refused to comment on his arrest, was detained at the CCPO pending the filing of charges against him./CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
