Ceferino M. Acosta III, the only child of Rosauro G. Acosta and Carmelita del Mundo Acosta, died of heart attack last December 2.
He was 45 years old and would have turned 46, seventeen days from his death.
He left behind his wife Mabel “Guia” Acosta and daughters Xeres Jasmine and Celina Jordan, aunts and uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces.
Nonoy, as he was fondly called, was BusinessMirror’s section editor who closed the Opinion, Marketing, CEO Views and Global Eye pages.
Before his stint at the BusinessMirror, he was also the news editor of Business Matters, desk editor of The Manila Standard Today, consultant and speech writer of the House of Representatives, director of PAISO (Public Affairs and Information Services Office) of then Quezon City Mayor Mel Mathay, managing editor of the defunct Philippine Chronicle, section editor of Daily Globe and reporter of Malaya .
His body lies at Chapel B of La Funeraria Paz, Araneta Avenue, Quezon City .
Burial will be on Saturday, December 8, at the Himlayang Pilipino Memorial Park, Tandang Sora, Quezon City after the 9 a.m. Mass.
