MANILA, Philippines— Another complaint has been filed before the Department of Justice on Tuesday against Pagadian City Mayor Samuel Co, two other local officers and several officials of Aman Futures.

Co, together with City Treasurer Flornina Gerona and Haide Sepada has been slapped with a complaint for syndicated estafa and violation of Republic Act 3019 or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.

The complaint has been filed by a certain Zaalica Adiong, who invested P3.2 million to Aman.

Aside from the three, included in the complaint are Manuel K. Amalilio, Fernando Luna, Lelian Lim Gan, Eduardo Lim, William Fuentes aka Willanie Fuentes, Naezelle Rodriguez and Lurix Lopez.

Adiong, in her complaint said Gerona represented Co in accepting her investment for Aman.

“Aforesaid representation was confirmed when the receipts corresponding to the investments of the complainant were issued by a certain Haide Sepada, employee of Mayor Co stationed at his residence in Tiguma, Pagadian City,” the complaint stated.

Adiong said when the Aman collapsed, Co allegedly tried to amicably settle her “which even made the claim of the complainant stronger that Mayor Co was indeed involved in the operation of Aman.”

This is the second complaint filed against Co before the Department of Justice.
