THE radio block-timer who was accused of duping a woman to pay him P45,000 posted bail and stepped out of jail yesterday afternoon.
Arman Cuban, 48, who hosts a Sunday morning radio show in dyLA, posted a surety bond to satisfy bail set at P40,000.
Cuban faces charges of estafa in court.
In her affidavit, complainant Lotes Laumen said she got in touch with him after reading Cuban’s advertisment in Banat News last July 11 where Cuban claimed he could solve problems of loved ones, cure curses and perform feng shui rituals.
Laumen said she consulted him about the marital problem of her friend over property in the United Kingdom.
She said she gave him P45,000 that Cuban asked for in exchange for 45 black candles.
Prosecutors said Cuban was liable for estafa by “falsely pretending that he has the power to control a person’s mind.”
The woman said she couldn’t find Cuban after she deposited P45,000 in his bank account.
Laumen said she sought help from the police after learning that Cuban holds a weekly program in dyLA./REPORTER ADOR S. MAYOL
