Man with stab wound dumped in Cordova

A MAN was found dead with a stab wound in the chest in a grassy area in barangay Buagsong, Cordova town in Mactan Island, Cebu.

Police said no one saw who attacked Dominique Dacua, 33, a resident of sitio Ubos, barangay Poblacion, Cordova.

It was possible that the man was killed the night before he was found past 2 p.m. Thursday.

Police said the man was mentally challenged.

In a separate incident in Cordova, a 46-year-old man was shot by two unidentified assailants past 6 p.m. last Thursday.

Ernesto Sumalinog sustained gunshot wounds in the chest and stomach. The victim was walking home when he was shot, police said.

The victim failed to recognize his attackers.

SPO1 Henry Amores said investigators are checking reports that the attack had something to do with the man’s alleged involvement in illegal drug activities.
