MEGA LA forced Rolly dela Pieza’s Rollway Trucking to a do-or-die game after winning Game 2 of their best-of-three semifinal series, 85-78, in the Lapu-Lapu City Sports Club Basketball Tournament at the Bayswater Resort covered court in barangay Agus, Lapu-Lapu City.
Rene Cuadra led Mega L.A’s win by scorinf a career-high 29 points. Joey Sagarino chipped in 18 markers.
The deciding Game 3 is set this coming Monday at the Crown Regency Hotel basketball court.
Waiting for the winner of the Mega L.A-Rollway series is Rulls Bakeshop of Rupert Cañiza, which escaped Roro Transport, 73-70, in Game 3 of their own semis series to advance to the finals.
