Fire hits part of Phivolcs QC office
MANILA, Philippines—Roughly P500,000-worth of properties went up in smoke when fire struck a portion of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology office in Quezon City Thursday, a city fire officer said.
Fire Officer 3 Francisco Mabunga said the fire engulfed the fourth floor of the Phivolcs office located along C.P. Garcia Avenue, Barangay (village) UP Campus, Diliman, Quezon City at 3:35 p.m.
Information as to whether the affected floor has occupants was not immediately available.
