MANILA, Philippines — The minority bloc at the House of Representatives on Wednesday wished President Benigno Aquino III to “get well soon” but said that they saw no indications of serious health trouble.
House minority leader Danilo Suarez told reporters in a press briefing that their members hoped Aquino would get better “if he’s sick but the minority doesn’t see any indicator of serious health problems.”
“I don’t know how many packs [of cigarettes] he smokes a day but we all know that smoking is bad for the health,” he said.
Isabela Representative Rodolfo Albano, a member of the minority bloc, urged the Malacanang to issue a daily health bulletin on Aquino’s health so key officials would be informed.
“Hindi rin naman siguro mahirap yung hinihingi na magpahinga [ang Presidente],” he said.
