CIM alumnus to get special award

DR. Raymund Z. Cagape, a graduate of the Cebu Institute of Medicine (CIM) Class 1987, will be conferred a special award for exemplary humanitarian services by his alma mater and the CIM Alumni Association.

A native of Sarangani Province, Dr. Cagape took up his baccalaureate degree at the Ateneo de Davao University before proceeding to medicine proper at CIM. He took up Masters in Public Administration and Hospital Administration at San Pedro College in Davao City.

Among his advocacies are: Hearts & Brains Inc. “Tulong ko sa Pasyenteng Pilipino” daily free clinic; Botika sa Kabukiran; Ambulansyang Kabayo; a daily radio program called “I-text Si Doc, Sagot Ka Ni Doc”; Walking Blood Bank; Regular Child Feeding (children with kwashiorkor); Conference Call Nationwide with PWD; Peace Begins in Me; Post Calamity Services: (medical mission, feeding, child friendly activities).

The awarding will be held on Dec. 8 as part of the celebration of CIM’s 55th founding anniversary.
