Tuburan town seen as new hotbed for Cebu motocross

A 3,000-square meter land in barangay Langtad in Tuburan town northwestern Cebu will serve as the new hotbed for motocross daredevils in the region.

Tuburan Mayor Democrito Diamante made this possible as he spearheaded the completion of this track that is soon to be the biggest in Cebu.

The track is currently being used to host the ongoing Mayor Diamante  Motocross Cup, which kicked of yesterday.

FEATURED STORIES

The race is part of the 50th birthday celebration of Mayor Diamante on Nov. 30. It will also serve as the last leg of the year-long Keiz-Bj Phoenix Cyclo-Max Motocross Championships.

Mayor Diamante said  the racetrack will be open to other motocross organizers. He is inviting other motocross promotions to stage their events in the race track.

Aside from the motocross event, Tuburan also hosted a cycling competition recently in the Cebu Cycling Challenge Classic last week. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
