American suspect visited by consul

THE 66-year-old American businesman accused of rape and illegal detention was visited by US Consular Office chief John Domingo in  the Talisay City Jail last Friday.

Domingo talked privately with Richard Dunn about  providing assistance to the US citizen, said police.

“But we don’t know the details of their conversation,” said jail officer Joel Dumapo.

Earlier the jail warden Chief Insp. Renante Rubio said a  certain Atty. Estenzo of the US Consular office in Cebu called up  15 minutes after Dunn arrived there escorted by police officers.

Rubio said they will wait for a court order to determine how long Dunn stays behind bars.
