TEAM Golf crushed Delta, 84-73, while Team Hotel trounced Team Charlie, 91-84, Friday night in the Center Katipunan A. Lopez Christian Organization (CEKALCO)-2012 Christmas basketball tournament.
Team Golf looked headed for an easy win when it led in the first three quarters. But Delta rallied in the fourth and grabbed a 3-point lead, 63-60, with 4:53 remaining.
However, Golf’s hot tandem of Kit Arellano and Gino Almencion ignited a furious offensive storm that paved the way for the 11-point win.
Arellano and Almencion led Golf with a game-high 24 and 22 points, respectively while Randy Damulo paced Delta with 20 points.
In the other game, Team Charlie led in the first quarter but Team Hotel sizzled the rest of the way with Kelvin Cinco exploding for 27 points in the pay-off period to lift Hotel to the 7-point win.
Cinco powered Hotel with a night-high 45 points while Estoy Panerio paced Team Charlie with 24 markers.
